We do not accept comprises regarding this aspect. We produce our basic frame exclusively with a continuous and massive girder. The basic frame consists of a double T-carrier and the Wimmer saw shoe runs protected within the double T?carrier. Thus, the log support and the rail of the Wimmer shoe are located on one frame guaranteeing an exact cut. Stainless steel shafts on the massive crossbeams prevent chips and bark from settling and keep oak wood from turning blue. The basic frames are delivered in any optional length according to customer wish.
The girder is not displaced to the side, meaning the helper is closer to the trunk for board eject and is able to take off the cut material much easier. Another option is to place the energy chain to the other side, the helper is then standing directly by the trunk.
Due to the massive girder of the basic frame, elaborate alignment of our block band saw is omitted. Eight mechanical screw supporters provide stability, even on surfaces that are not ideal.
By request, hydraulic supporting feet are available that accelerate set up of the saw yet even more.
Since 2000 we have been offering the option of a folding extension on the mobile version, which can be mechanically or hydraulically turned. The advantage is that the drive belts do not have to be changed and thus, equipping time is shortened. Of course, we also offer insertion extensions.
A shaft adjustable in height is available by request.
Due to the stability of our block band saw and the many equipment options it happens quite frequently that the block band saw weighs over 3.5 to., which is why the installation of a pressurized air brake is necessary here.
