Zenz takes over the dealer of the Austrian tipper manufacturer Pühringer

A wood chip heating unit is built with 2 x 150 kW. This not only supplies the operation of Zenz, but also another 8 companies and households.

Zenz becomes a direct distributor of Deutz-Fahr tractors and Krone harvesters.

Zenz acquires the mechanical engineering department from the company Alber and develops, produces and distributes sharpeners, rolling benches and setting machines for band saws.

Zenz takes over the development, production and sale of Obermaier silo combs from the company Reiter, which from then on are marketed as ZENZ silo combs.

Acquisition of the company by Josef Zenz.


 

1857


Matthias Zenz, a direct ancestor of the current owner, bought this village smithy in 1857. In the sixth generation, the current owner Josef Zenz now manages the company of his ancestors. In 2007
the generational company looks back on 150 years of company history. Besides working as a blacksmith and agricultural machinery dealer, the company Zenz has always been concerned with mechanical engineering. The grandfather of the current owner therefore made over 500 agricultural trailers. His father Josef Zenz senior developed special cellar oil tanks for installation in homes, as well as several agricultural machines, some of which were provided with utility model protection.

The historical roots of the entrepreneurial family Zenz date back to the 16th century.

The first documented mention of the smith from Lengmoos dates back to 1520.
