Experience for over 30 years
Rising energy costs require efficient solutions. The silage comb offers a cost-effective and energy-saving alternative to the feed mixer wagon. With just one device, the feed can be removed, transported and distributed quickly and efficiently. Our silage combs impress with low operating costs and high reliability, so that your daily feeding is effortless.
Advantages of our silo combs
Underride claws: Guarantee optimum grip in the feed frame and quiet working.
Removal plate: Perfect for the hardest silage, ensures a clean cutting surface.
Feed flow division: Maximum unloading performance without clogging and roller standstill.
Convenient scraper floor tensioning: Saves time thanks to simple tension adjustment.
Hydraulic residual goods flap: Ensures loss-free transportation and complete emptying.
Central lubrication: Facilitates maintenance work and increases service life.
Different types for maximum flexibility

From the field: “We have been feeding our approx. 180 cattle with a silage comb since 1993. In conjunction with the “Select-Stop” concentrated feed system, the silage comb has become one of the most important pieces of equipment on our farm. I can offer my herd an enhanced basic feed ration with very little time and diesel expenditure. The chopped silage and the added concentrated feed are perfectly mixed by the two dosing rollers.”
Advantages
- Underride claws as standard and a powerful hydraulic system enable smooth operation with short removal times.
- The silage comb is also ideally suited for the hardest silage thanks to its one-sided wedge-shaped discharge blade and the similarly designed discharge tines.
- The hydraulic crop residue flap is raised via a double-acting cylinder, enabling the removal tines to be fully released and thus ensuring optimum removal quality in the feedstock.
- When the residue flap is closed, loss-free transportation and complete emptying of the feed is guaranteed.
Performance features
- The large passage of the dosing rollers of the silage comb, combined with a closely spaced scraper floor, infinitely variable scraper floor speed and unique feed flow distribution, enable the highest possible unloading capacity.
- The standard equipment includes two rollers per metering box, ensuring the finest, most uniform feed presentation and a high basic feed intake.
Desired equipment
- Electrical operation
- Deflector roller
- Select-Stop” concentrated feed system

From the field: “After 10 years of using a feed mixer wagon, I switched my feeding system to a trailed “Zenz-Silokamm Profi 4000″. In the first 4 weeks with the silage comb, I only used a total of 40 liters of diesel to feed my herd of approx. 110 animals in two barns. That is a daily consumption of approx. 1.5 liters and therefore an enormous cost saving. With the two-roller metering system, the autumn silage is also optimally loosened and has a very good structure.”
Advantages
- Cost savings: even a small farm tractor from 20 hp can take over the daily silage removal and feed storage with this system.
This saves you expensive fuel and operating hours on large tractors every day. - The optional on-board hydraulic system makes the machine completely independent of the tractor’s hydraulic power.
The separate oil supply with integrated oil tank and filter is driven by a PTO shaft - Long service life thanks to a cylinder arrangement that has been tried and tested for decades.
It reduces the lever forces on the removal arm to a minimum.
Performance features
- Our models impress with their sturdy construction and can.
- Enormous ease of pulling thanks to a large-dimensioned chassis.
Desired equipment
- On-board hydraulics
- Cardan shaft
- Electrical operation
- Select-Stop” concentrated feed system
