Saw blade care

Optimum saw blade care for maximum performance

A first-class log band saw requires a perfectly maintained saw blade to ensure maximum performance and durability. Invest in the right care to save costs and increase efficiency.

Our tip:
Your best man belongs in the sharp end.

Sharpening

Precise sharpening machines are essential for professional sawyers. We offer the ZENZ dry grinding machine and the ZENZ wet grinding machine. Precision is crucial here in order to achieve optimum sharpening results.

This is because the saw blades also have a short service life on a poor band saw. The initial price advantage of an inexpensive automatic sharpening machine quickly turns into a real cost factor.

Rolling Bench

For optimum cutting quality and a long service life of the saw blade, it is important to check the tension regularly and tighten it if necessary. If this is neglected, the band saws will cut inaccurately. In our sharpening service, we check the tension of all band saw blades and resharpen them if necessary.

Thanks to the design of our log band saws, the saw blades run tension-free and can be resharpened several times, which significantly reduces running costs.

SW 100 automatic cabinet

Even if stellited band saw blades are predominantly used today, the automatic setter remains a sensible purchase.

  1. For finding bent teeth
  2. Set an otherwise no longer usable Stellite band saw blade

This has the following advantages:

  • Less damage from foreign objects – Since you are working with an “old” bandsaw blade here, the damage is considerably less.
  • Higher cutting speed and precision – Especially with hardwood, the narrow kerf ensures faster processing and better cutting quality.

Technical data for band saw blades from:

  • Width: 38 to 170 mm
  • Length: 4000 – 8000 mm
